After dying in a comical accident, Kazuma Satou is given the choice to go to heaven or reincarnate in a fantasy world. Opting for the latter, he is tasked with defeating a Demon King. He can choose one item to help him, and selects the goddess Aqua. However, Aqua proves to be completely useless, much to Kazuma's dismay. Instead of embarking on a grand adventure, the duo must work to cover their living expenses. Their journey is filled with misfortune, as they struggle to navigate the realities of their new life in this unpredictable fantasy world.
