In the year 2071, humanity spreads across the galaxy, but crime remains rampant. Bounty hunters like Spike Spiegel and Jet Black chase intergalactic outlaws to make a living. Despite his carefree exterior, Spike is haunted by a violent past, while Jet deals with his own troubles. They are joined by con artist Faye Valentine, eccentric hacker Edward, and Ein, a bioengineered Welsh Corgi. As they bond and hunt criminals, their lives are disrupted by a dangerous figure from Spike's past. Forced to confront old wounds, Spike must decide between revenge and his newfound family aboard the Bebop.
